To the Electors of the Northern Division of the County of Devon. – [Barnstaple ] : [s. n. ] , 1852. - A poster to the electors from a brother elector who exposes the truth about the Committee of the Devon and Exeter Protection Association interfering in the recent election where they sought to make Mr George Stuckley Buck run as a candidate. Despite his refusal to run in the election the poster urges voters to think of who they would rather vote for and encourages them to see that Mr Thomas Dyke Acland is a noble and honourable candidate. Offering himself as a candidate to represent the borough in Parliament. In regard to his political agenda he is in favour of a reduction of war expenditure, an adjustment of Income Tax and supporting Civil and Religious Liberty. Thanking them for requesting him to represent them in the election and stating his political stance as a Liberal Conservative and his firm support of the Church of England and not of the Roman Catholic Church.
